Julie H. Case is completing her first short story collection, Stay. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing in 2007 from the low-residency Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University and is currently the Writer-in-Residence at Interlochen Arts Academy, where she teaches a creative writing workshop and the self-designed writing and lit class "Contemporary Non-American Fiction."
Julie is a native of Benzie County, Michigan and, in addition to PLU, is an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy and Arizona State University. She has been a featured poet in MetroKC’s Poetry on Buses and a finalist for the Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction. Her work has also appeared on the studio- and live-show podcasts of "A River and Sound Review." She has taught writing classes through Seattle’s Hugo House and Real Change.
